In a proud moment for the British Royal Family, King Charles carried out an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, bestowing honors upon individuals who have made outstanding contributions to public life.
Wearing his royal regalia, King Charles personally presented medals to recipients, including two notable figures. Leona Lewis received an OBE for her services to music, while Myleene Klass was awarded an MBE for her advocacy in women’s health, miscarriage awareness, and charitable efforts.
“A huge congratulations to everyone who received their honours from The King at today’s investiture at Windsor Castle,” read a message shared by the royal family alongside official photographs from the ceremony.
According to BBC News, the royal investiture highlighted the monarch’s continued commitment to recognizing excellence across British society.
Earlier in the day, the monarch also took part in a Youth Opportunity Summit at St James’s Palace, where he met with young people, government officials, and representatives from youth organisations. Among the guests was Idris Elba, a long-standing ambassador of The King’s Trust.
“During the Summit, His Majesty heard about key topics such as the importance of providing positive opportunities for young people impacted by youth violence in the UK,” the Palace said in a statement.
