A playful Platinum Jubilee moment is making the rounds again—this time courtesy of Mike Tindall, who recently resurfaced a vibrant throwback featuring his wife Zara Tindall and Princess Eugenie.
The former England rugby star reposted a three-year-old Instagram photo showing Zara and Eugenie dressed in head-turning colours at Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving.
The image, originally shared in 2022, shows Princess Eugenie, 35, in a striking orange midi dress by Emilia Wickstead. Standing beside her, Zara, 43, radiated in a vivid pink ensemble designed by Laura Green.
Mike’s cheeky caption at the time added a splash of humour to the royal fashion moment. Overlaying the image with matching Starburst candies, he wrote: “When you combine your favourite Starbursts!! 2 world class ladies!! #starburst #platinumjubilee.”
This past weekend, the 46-year-old revisited the photo via his Instagram Story, admitting he’d forgotten the post entirely. “Completely forgot about this photo!!!” he wrote, reigniting fond memories of the Tindalls’ light-hearted approach to the Jubilee festivities.
During the four-day celebrations in 2022, Mike Tindall became something of a fashion sensation himself—borrowing his wife’s fascinators and modelling them with flair. After the Trooping the Colour parade, he wore Zara’s bright red fascinator, which happened to match his red tie, earning both admiration and laughs from royal watchers.
The fun continued the next day when Mike was seen in a fuchsia headpiece, striking a serious pose that delighted fans. One follower commented: “It’s the serious look on his face for me, while at the same time not taking himself seriously at all. Genius.” Another added: “I’m loving the way Mike is wearing ties that match the colour of Zara’s outfits.”
Zara soon joined in on the fun. On the third day of the celebrations, she was spotted trying on Mike’s top hat while he posed in her blue fascinator, a moment that perfectly captured the couple’s playful spirit and down-to-earth dynamic.
