Princess Kate Shines at Wimbledon as She Awards Trophy to Jannik Sinner

Princess Kate returned to Centre Court in style this weekend, presenting the Wimbledon men’s singles trophy to Italy’s Jannik Sinner following his hard-fought victory over defending champion Carlos Alcaraz.

Sinner clinched the title after an electrifying four-set final, defeating Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in what became one of the most talked-about matches of the tournament.

As patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) since 2016, the Princess of Wales carried out the presentation duties with her usual poise and grace.

In keeping with Wimbledon tradition, Kate handed the prestigious trophy to Sinner and also presented the runner-up prize to Alcaraz after the match that had fans on the edge of their seats.

The princess wasn’t alone for the occasion. She was accompanied by Prince William and their two eldest children, Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 10. Their youngest son, Prince Louis, aged seven, did not attend the final.

The royal family made a polished entrance as they crossed the bridge into Centre Court. Kate, dressed in a royal blue gown, looked radiant and cheerful beside Princess Charlotte, who delighted the crowd with a wave and a smile.

Behind them, Prince William and Prince George also acknowledged the cheering spectators as they made their way to their seats.

It was the Princess of Wales’ second day at Wimbledon this weekend. On Saturday, she presented the women’s singles trophy to Iga Świątek after her remarkable 6-0, 6-0 win against Amanda Anisimova.

For both finals, Kate opted for her classic Wimbledon accessory — the signature green-and-purple bow brooch — which she paired on Sunday with her striking blue dress.

The brooch, which symbolizes her royal patronage of the tournament, has become synonymous with her Wimbledon appearances. She first wore the accessory in 2017, pairing it then with a crisp white short-sleeved dress.

It was personally presented to her by Queen Elizabeth II, and Kate has worn it without fail at every visit to the tournament since.
