Princess Anne Shines in Cobalt Blue Dress at Military Musical Spectacular After Receiving Honorary Degree

Princess Anne, the daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, made a graceful appearance on Wednesday, July 16, turning heads in a cobalt blue wrap dress during her attendance at the Military Musical Spectacular in London.

The event, titled Heroes!, took place at Horse Guards Parade and showcased a grand collaboration of over 250 performers, including the Massed Bands of the Guards Division, The Duchess of Edinburgh’s String Orchestra, and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.

According to a post by Buckingham Palace, the performance also marked the 200th anniversary of the Royal Mews, with a dazzling display of horse-drawn state coaches and ceremonial vehicles.

Earlier that day, The Princess Royal, who turned 74 this year, had been honoured with an Honorary Doctorate from a West Yorkshire university, further underscoring her decades-long dedication to public service and the British monarchy.

Dressed in elegant royal blue, Anne completed her ensemble with a layered pearl necklace, matching gloves, and a blue clutch purse. She was seen conversing with Major General James Bowder, reflecting her continued support for the British Army and its ceremonial traditions.

The Royal Family shared photographs of the occasion via their official channels, prompting a flurry of admiration from royal watchers.

One fan affectionately dubbed her “The Queen” in the comments, while another wrote, “She is similar to her Mother! Very dedicated to the Crown and its principles in a great way!”

This latest appearance follows a recent moment of style evolution for Anne. At a State Banquet at Windsor Castle earlier this month, she debuted a new twisted bun hairstyle, stepping away from her signature updo of more than 50 years. She wore an ivory gown with lace embellishments and the diamond Festoon Tiara, a treasured piece from her collection since 1973.
