In a rare moment of family life shared publicly, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, husband of Princess Beatrice, posted a seldom-seen photograph of his son, Christopher Woolf, during a weekend trip to North Wales.
The 41-year-old property developer, who married Princess Beatrice in 2020, shared a carousel of scenic shots on Instagram this Monday, captioning it: “Stunning North Wales. Beautiful memories. @wernholidaycottages.”
The final image in the collection discreetly included Wolfie, as the nine-year-old is affectionately known, standing with arms raised on a pier at Criccieth Beach, the Irish Sea sparkling behind him. It’s a significant appearance—Wolfie has rarely featured on his father’s social media. The last post to include him was during a family holiday to Greece in 2021.
Wolfie was born in 2016 during Edoardo’s relationship with American architect Dara Huang, with whom he shares co-parenting responsibilities. Although the couple separated in 2018 after three years together, they maintain a respectful arrangement that allows their son to split his time between homes in Mayfair and the Cotswolds.
While Edoardo keeps family life largely private, Huang is more active on social media. Just last month, she posted a candid image of Wolfie with the caption “London summers.”
Edoardo and Princess Beatrice welcomed their first daughter, Sienna, on September 18, 2021, following their intimate wedding held under pandemic restrictions. Their second child, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, was born on January 22, 2025.
At the time, Edoardo expressed his joy on Instagram: “Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi. We welcomed Baby Athena into our lives last week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect. We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely besotted with her.”
He continued: “Our hearts are overflowing with love for you, baby Athena. A massive thank you from my wife and I goes out to all the wonderful staff at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for their exceptional care and support during this incredibly special time.”
